Speaking about delivering two successful films so far this year, Anupam told a news portal that the success of ‘The Kashmir Files’ did not matter to him in terms of the money it made. For him, it was important that the story of Kashmiri Pandits finally reached the world after 32 years. According to him, for a film like that, it didn’t have any songs or comedy, which means the audiences have also changed and they can take a film like that and make it a hit.
Elaborating further, the actor added that for him, the success of anything should be measured by the work that you do. However, in the film industry, or any industry in the world, the numbers speak very highly. If the figures of both ‘The Kashmir Files’ and ‘Kathikeya 2’ are taken into consideration, he is the only actor who has given Rs 480 crore films, Anupam told IndiaToday.in.
The veteran actor will next be seen in Sooraj Barjatya’s ‘Uunchai’ which also stars Amitabh Bachchan, Boman Irani, Danny Denzongpa, Neena Gupta, Sarika and Parineeti Chopra. It is slated to hit theatres on November 11, 2022.
