The film is set against the chaotic and sometimes dangerous backdrop of the country’s politics.
Ali says, “I am excited and humbled to be directed by Bill, who has an impeccable body of work. Afghan Dreamers is a very important story that needs to be told, and I’m happy to be part of its cinematic retelling.”
The film’s shoot recently began in Morocco. A majority of the 50-day schedule is being filmed across Morocco and Budapest.
