Akshay Kumar apologises to fans for not being part of Hera Pheri 3; reveals he backed out himself – Times of India

Ever since the announcement of Hera Pheri 3, fans have been over the moon to witness Akshay Kumar’s magic on the big screen. When news of Kartik Aaryan being part of the sequel instead of Akki, fans have been disappointed with the new development and have also demanded to bring Akshay Kumar back in the film.

Responding to the same, Akshay said in an event, that he backed out himself. Elaborating further he shared, Hera Pheri has been a part of him and has many fond memories from the same. He admitted that he too felt bad that in so many years, part 3 hasn’t been made and added that the film was offered to him but he was not satisfied with the script and that’s why he backed out.

Back in 2000, Hera Pheri released and was an instant hit among fans and movie lovers. Helmed by Priyadarshan and written by Neeraj Vora, the film also starred Sunil Shetty, Paresh Rawal, Tabu, Om Puri and Gulshan Grover.

Few days, Paresh Rawal confirmed that Kartik Aaryan is a part of the film. Reportedly, Kartik will be playing Akshay’s Raju character in the film.

Meanwhile on the work front, Akshay Kumar will be seen in OMG 2 alongside Yami Gautam, Pankaj Tripathi and Arun Govil. He also several films in his kitty including Gorkha, Bade Miyan Chote Miyan with Tiger Shroff, and Selfiee with Emraan Hashmi.
