Marathi and Bollywood veteran star Vikram Gokhale passed away at the age of 77 in Pune on Saturday afternoon at Deenanath Mangeshkar Hospital due to multi-organ failure.

Friends and family of the beloved Vikram Gokhale have been expressing their grief since then and among them is the Marathi film ‘Godavari’ director Nikhil Mahajan.

While expressing his grief, Nikhil Mahajan said, “I consider myself very fortunate that I could direct Vikram Gokhale for ‘Godavari’. I have always admired his work and it is been very inspirational. It is very unfortunate for the industry to have lost veteran actor like Vikram Gokhale”

“We are saddened to announce that the noted actor Mr Vikram Gokhale passed away today at Deenanath Mangeshkar Hospital due to multi-organ failure. Our deep condolences,” read the hospital’s official statement.

The actor’s last rites will take place at 6 pm today at Vaikunth Crematorium in Pune on Saturday.
