Sophia Di Martino, who plays Sylvie, aka female Loki in the hit superhero spinoff series ‘Loki’, heaped praises on the Bollywood actress’ turn in the critically acclaimed film ‘Gangubai Kathiawadi’ directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali.
Sharing a poster of the film on her Instagram stories, Sophia wrote, “Woahhhh. What a turn. @aliaabhatt is going to take over the world in about a minute and a half. #gangubaikathiawadi.”
Reacting to the post, Alia did not miss out on giving a nod to the Marvel Multiverse saga, in which Sophia’s character plays an integral part. She wrote, “This means so much from someone who is about to take over a whole multiverse.”
The girls kept the banter going as the ‘Loki’ actress replied to the post saying, Casual Fan Girling over here.”
The actress’ posts didn’t go unnoticed by fans who shared the same on social media. Sharing a fan-post, Sophia rooted for a film with Alia saying, “Oh come on someone put us in a movie together so our kids can be best friends.”

After being one of the reasons for splitting the linear timeline, Sophia’s Sylvie will be back in action to fight alongside Tom Hiddleston’s Loki as they take on a new nemesis – Kang the Conquerer- in the upcoming ‘Loki’ Season 2.
Meanwhile, Alia will make her Hollywood debut, starring in a supporting role in the Gal Gadot and Jamie Dornan starrer ‘Heart of Stone’. The film is slated for an international release in 2023.
