Anurag Kashyap says SS Rajamouli is perfect director for Marvel film as he showers praise on ‘RRR’ – Times of India

SS Rajamouli’s ‘RRR’ has been making India proud by bagging global honours. Not only the audience but the entire film industry has been showering praises on the filmmaker.
In a new interview, Anurag Kashyap also heaped praises on the magnum opus. According to him, movies from down South are still grounded and they still look like Indian films. He added that ‘RRR’ is all about its storytelling and for the global audience, ‘Naatu Naatu’ is a visually incredible song because it’s rooted.

The song ‘Naatu Naatu’ was shot in Ukraine for 12 consecutive days. Talking about that, Kashyap added that it’s very hard to pull something like that off. According to him, he would have given up thinking that shooting for a song sequence would take me so many days. However, Rajamouli pursued a sequence and took as many days as required to shoot it. That takes a lot of vision, courage and nerves of steel. Anurag told News18.

Kashyap went on to say that everybody in the West is trying to reach out to Rajamouli now. He’s the kind of filmmaker who can make a massive difference. The Bollywood director also added that Rajamouli is like the perfect director for a DC or a Marvel film. According to him, although conversations about collaborations between India and the West have been going on for a very long time, with SS Rajamouli, it wouldn’t be a collaboration. What will happen is that they will steal him from us.
