Kriti Sanon hopes Adipurush gets its due; says it’s educational for kids – Times of India

Kriti Sanon is currently promoting ‘Shehzada’ with Kartik Aaryan. The film is a remake of Allu Arjun’s ‘Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo’ which originally starred Pooja Hegde opposite him. Meanwhile, Kriti’s next, ‘Adipurush’ has also been in news for its grandeur post the teaser was launched.
The actress recently spoke about the film in an interview. Kriti will be seen essaying the role of Sita while Prabhas will play Ram. Kriti expressed that she’s extremely proud of the film, the entire team is and hopes that everyone else is equally proud of it. Kriti hopes that the film gets its due and she has a feeling it will.

The actress further added that it’s no longer just a film for the team. It’s very important. Kriti added that it’s important to make these stories because it’s educational for kids. Its visual memory will stay longer than anything else and that’s the best way to make the kids watch it and have the story imprinted in their minds. If the story is coming out after so many years, the same story also needs to relate to the audience it is catering to.
The film is set to release on June 16, 2023. It’s directed by Om Raut whose last film was ‘Tanhaji The Unsung Hero’. Saif Ali Khan will be essaying the role of Raavan in it while Sunny Singh will be seen as Laxman.

Meanwhile, Kriti’s next ‘Shehzada’ is set for release this month, on February 17.
