Watch: Ranveer Singh tries rapping at the NBA All Star Night, gets massively trolled for the same – Times of India


Actor Ranveer Singh was recently in Salt Lake City, Utah for the NBA All Star Night. There he met up with actors Actors Michael B Jordan, Jonathan Majors and Ben Affleck. They were all seen chatting up about Jordan’s forthcoming action extravaganza with Warner Bros. Pictures – Creed III at the NBA all star game.

Ranveer shared many images from his meet up. Later Ranveer, who is the India Ambassador for NBA played with prominent NBA stars and also met up with stand up comic Hasan Minhaj, who posted a video with him from the locker room – there, the actor could be seen rapping in the presence of of Simu Liu, singer-actor Nicky Jam and rapper 21 Savage among others.

Hasan, while introducing Ranveer says, “All we gotta do, everybody, is get Ranveer Singh on the boards today. On behalf of 4.561 billion people in Asia, let’s get Ranveer a bucket.”

Ranveer, who played a rapper in Gully Boy then goes, “Go up against us, you will end up in bandages. We ain’t 21 but we all Savages. Oh, you see my moves, they so fancy. Yeah baby all over the world they call me Shang-Chi. I throw it down, slam. You know my name, number one Latin artist in the world, Nicky Jam.”

Sharing the video of the same, Hasan wrote, “Tried to get my man Ranveer Singh on the scoreboard. Tried to get him a record deal. Failed at both.”

However, Ranveer was massively trolled for his rapping skills and users took to the comments section advising him to stay away from the art. While one user said, “Ranveer setting us back 100 years with each sentence, ” another one said, “From F1 to Premier League to the US, this man just continues to embarrass every Indian with his wannabe efforts.” Another user commented, “Why is this guy embarrassing himself by being someone he’s not.” A person wrote, “Why are you making Indians look like fools?”

On the workfront, Ranveer’s next, Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani, co-starring Alia Bhatt and directed by Karan Johar will release in July this year.
