On Friday Punjabi singer Mankirt Aulakh was stopped by a team from the National Investigation Agency (NIA) at the Shaheed Bhagat Singh International Airport. The singer was leaving for Dubai, and according to the reports he was questioned for 2 hours at the airport.
Though it is not clear why Mankirt was stopped, as of now he is not allowed to leave India. The singer was sent back, and later in a video message on social media, he shared that he had to cancel his Dubai show.

Mankirt was supposed to perform at VII club in Dubai, but he said he has to cancel it owing to some technical difficulties. “We shall soon announce the new dates of the show in two days,” Mankirt said in his message.
Last year in November, Mankirt was questioned by the cops for his alleged connections with the infamous gangster Lawrence Bishnoi. The singer was seen performing at Bishnoi’s function in an old video, which went viral on the internet after the murder of Sidhu Moose WalaHe even received threats from Bishnoi’s rival gang Bambiha in August last year.
