Be it on the professional or personal front, things moved fast for actor Harsh Mayar last year. His web series remained in news after winning an award and he tied the knot with girlfriend Sukanya Rajan in November 2022. The actor’s marriage came as a surprise to most and he says that “people are still asking me how can you get married at the age of 24!” He says, “I am not someone who would like to continue being in a relationship just for the heck of it. I was sure that Sukanya is the best partner that I can have, she is my best friend and we have a lot in common in terms of personality.” Sukanya is a scientist staying in Ireland. “She will move here in some time, but I don’t see long-distance marriage as an issue. Both of us were friends on Orkut and that was the time when I had worked in I Am Kalam,” says Harsh. He spent most of his time early last year in Ireland and says that he tried to work out his shooting schedule once he was back in Mumbai. “Last year, I was focussed on my personal life and wanted to give time to it and thankfully that didn’t disrupt the workflow. We had an intimate marriage with close friends and family and I am back at work. Thankfully, even when I was away from work last year, my web series did well,” says Harsh. Talking about the OTT platform, he says, “This is the time when people want quality content and that is evident from what is working and what is not. I wanted to be a part of good stories and OTT gives me that opportunity.”
