For long, Atlee has been working hard to cast an A-list actor for a pivotal role alongside Shah Rukh Khan and Allu Arjun was offered the role. After the ‘Pushpa’ actor refused the part, the makers have now approached Sanjay Dutt, who has green lit the collaboration, reports Peepingmoon. However, there has been no confirmation about the same. Interestingly, Sanjay Dutt had made a cameo appearance in SRK starrer ‘Om Shanti Om’ in 2007. Sanjay Dutt is currently in Kashmir, shooting for Thalapathy Vijay starrer ‘Leo’, but he will soon return to Mumbai to reportedly shoot for his special sequence with Shah Rukh Khan. ‘Jawan’ is said to be an action entertainer, which is scheduled to hit the screens in June 2023.

SRK will share the frame with Nayanthara in ‘Jawan’. Speaking about the film, SRK had previously shared, “Too early to say. There is still a long way to go. There is not much I can tell you about Jawan except the fact that I am having a great time as an actor. And Atlee, the director, it is a different kind of film. Everybody has seen his work. He makes outstanding mass oriented films, again a genre I have never done. So, I wanted to try my hands on it. And I think me and Atlee have good chemistry. I bring in some (to the film), he brings in some. Whatever we have done of Jawan is thrilling and exciting.”
