Sharmila Tagore has made some candid revelations about her yesteryear co-stars and shooting experiences of late. During her recent stint on The Kapil Sharma Show, she spoke extensively about her time working with Shammi Kapoor in An Evening In Paris and Kashmir Ki Kali.
Recalling Shammi’s bursts of energy on the Kashmir Ki Kali sets, Sharmila revealed, “It was very difficult to work with Shammi Kapoor and I was a newcomer. He would do something in the rehearsal and something else in the actual take. Kabhi yahan se aa jaate the kabhi vahan se, kabhi upar se aa jaate the (He would randomly come from here, sometimes from there, sometimes from above).”

The experience of working with Shammi got even more shocking on the sets of An Evening In Paris. Sharmila recalled the incident when Shammi jumped off a helicopter. She said, “In Evening In Paris, in the song ‘Aasmaan Se Aaya Farishta’, Shammi ji was hanging from the helicopter. I was water skiing (Sharmila wore a swimsuit). He was on the edge of the helicopter, showing off his thighs, very sexy… it was also difficult for the person who was flying the helicopter. In the middle of the shot, without any instructions, suddenly he jumped on the boat. That was not in the script. Shammi ji was like that.”
She went on to reveal that the sudden stunt shocked everyone on the set.
