Sidharth Malhotra termed as rude and angry after he refused to react on Naatu Naatu, The Elephant Whisperers’ Oscars win, fans come to his rescue – Times of India


Sidharth Malhotra, on Monday, wrapped up shoot schedule for his upcoming action thriller film Yodha. The actor was spotted at the Delhi airport wearing a black hoodie and matching track pants. He seemed to be in a hurry when a paparazzi started interacting with him. Although Sidharth politely answered a few of his questions along the way till he went inside the gates, an Instagram post speculated that the actor was angry with the media. However, his fans came to his rescue.
The Instagram handle in question shared a piece of clip where Sidharth was seen rushing inside the airport gates. As the paparazzi asked him about his views on Naatu Naatu and The Elephant Whisperers big win at the Oscars 2023, Sidharth replied saying, “Press conference thodi chal raha hai!”

This particular video drew some flak for Sidharth. Some people felt that Sidharth could have just said something like ‘congratulations to the team’ instead while some termed him as rude. Soon his fans jumped to the actor’s defense and slammed the Instagram handle for misleading the viewers by posting only a specific part of the video.

One fan page of Sidharth’s guided the Instagram handle and urged its followers to watch the entire video of the paparazzi where the actor was seen politely answering all the questions before heading inside the Delhi airport. In the full video, Sidharth showed no signs of anger as suggested by the Instagram handle in question.

On the other hand, Sidharth had already congratulated both the teams of Naatu Naatu and The Elephant Whisperes on his Instagram stories. “A truly historic day to wake up to. Congratulations to the teams of The Elephant Whisperes and Naatu Naatu for grabbing the win at the Academy Awards for Best Documentary Short Film and Best Original Song respectively,” read his note.

Meanwhile, Sidharth took to his Instagram stories and dropped a picture from a restaurant in Bangkok with Yodha team and captioned it, “#Workfamily.” Produced by Hiroo Johar, Karan Johar, Apoorva Mehta and Shashank Khaitan, Yodha is helmed by Sagar Ambre and Pushkar Ojha. It also stars Raashii Khanna and Disha Patani. The movie is scheduled to release in theatres on November 11 this year.
