Yesterday, there was several reports which suggested that Ishaan Khatter starrer ‘Pippa’ is releasing on OTT, stating that the makers of the film are having issues with the multiplex owners. But an official statement has been released today, regarding the same. The makers have refuted all such rumours.
Producers Ronnie Screwvala, Siddharth Roy Kapur along with Kamal Gianchandani of PVR Inox who also represents the Multiplex Association Of India (MAI) have issued a statement. It reads, “RSVP and Roy Kapur Films have no ongoing issues with multiplex operators. Any rumours or articles suggesting otherwise are baseless and unfounded. We are all committed to working together to bring quality content to audiences in cinema across India. Pippa is a film that has been made for the big screen and an official announcement about the release date will be made soon.”

‘Pippa’ is based on a true story and is a biopic on Brigadier Balram Singh Mehta. Ishaan plays his role in the film, which revolves around the Indo-Pakistan War of 1971.
The film is directed by Raja Krishna Menon and also stars Mrunal Thakur, Priyanshu Painyuli and Soni Razdan apart from Ishaan. AR Rahman has helmed the film’s music. As per the official statement, the release date of the film will be announced soon.
