Fans have loved the sizzling chemistry between Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Shah Rukh Khan on screen. The actors have worked together in films like ‘Josh, ‘Devdas’, ‘Mohabbatein’, ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’ and others.
However, did you know that Aishwarya was removed from as many as five films, including ‘Veer Zara’ and ‘Chalte Chalte’ with King Khan? Yes, you read that right! In a throwback interview with Simi Garewal, Aishwarya had revealed that she was supposed to do a couple of films with SRK and then suddenly they weren’t happening. The actress also added that she never had answers as to why.

Talking about how being removed from the films hurt her, Aishwarya said that she was taken aback and confused because she didn’t know why that was happening. The actress revealed that she never confronted Shah Rukh about it because it was not in her nature to do so. According to her, if a person feels a need to explain it, they will. If they never did, they never intend to.

In another throwback interview, Shah Rukh apologised to Aishwarya after she couldn’t be a part of ‘Chalte Chalte’. The superstar stated that he is personally very saddened by the fact that Aishwarya couldn’t be a part of it. The actor called her a very close friend and stated that he has done some really marvelous films with her and they get along really well.

However, the star added that, as a producer, his hands were tied because he was not the only producer. They wanted to finish the film in 3–4 months. SRK said that although he was sure the film would have been made with her in it also, it just wasn’t meant to be.
