Adaptation is seemingly the in word for producers and creators at BBC Studios. As per a report on peepingmoon.com, the makers at BBC Studios have greenlit an adaptation of the very famous Sherlock Holmes in India. The report also suggests that Kay Kay Menon will essay the titular role and Ranvir Shorey will play Dr John Watson. Srijit Mukherji, who last directed Sherdil: The Pilibhit Saga with Pankaj Tripathi and Shabaash Mithu with Taapsee Pannu will be the director of the show. The show goes on floors in April in Kolkata and has been contextualized in an Indian setting.
