During this session, Daboo replied to a user and recalled an anecdote about his shoot with Hrithik Roshan. The photographer was asked if he had to cancel any shoot because of the weather or because it wasn’t just working out. Daboo shared, “During Hrithik’s first ever shoot (his portfolio), it started pouring unexpectedly… We still managed to shoot on the terrace under a tiny shade & got fantastic results… He didn’t mind getting soaked… There was zero fuss… He is as amazing even till today. Love his enthusiasm & professionalism.”
While indicating that Hrithik has ‘zero fuss’, a while ago, Dabboo had also recalled another shoot with Hrithik which was quite challenging. Some time back, he had shared a picture of Hrithik where he’s almost seen falling into the pool. The photographer shared, “Every single shoot with @hrithikroshan is magnificent 👌🏼 but this particular one is my fav ❤️. He has been a part of my calendars 🗓 since 2001. This image was shot for my 2007 Calendar. We met before the shoot & like always he accepted the challenge ✅ & chose my most difficult concept. We brainstormed on the creative,location,outfit, props & technicalities.”
He further added that this particular shoot had a risk involved. “We were lil nervous 😥 as there was a risk involved with free fall. Duggu had to remember to break his fall as soon as his body touched the water, to avoid hitting his head to the bottom of the pool 😱. Duggu being a perfectionist that he is, arranged 7 identical outfits 🧥👔👖👞. I’d arranged props like laptop,chair,coffee mug, newspaper etc. I’d also arranged ropes to help him balance & tug him sideways, if need be. The plan was that every time he would fall, he would dry up, do makeup hair all over again & wear an identical dry outfit for the next shot & probably try a different prop each time.”
But alas, he got the perfect shot. “Once he was ready, I gave him his position. He took the paper 📰 , held his pose on the edge of the pool & waited for my signal🚦,” added Dabboo.
Well, Hrithik fans must be quite happy to hear these memories about him and the fact that he’s such a perfectionist. On work front, Hrithik will be seen next in ‘Fighter‘ set for a January 2024 release.
