Raashi Khanna recently opened up about how her good friend Vaani Kapoor forced her to move to Mumbai from Delhi because she wanted to be an actor.
In an interview with a news portal, Raashii revealed that she moved to Mumbai from Delhi with Vaani. While Vaani wanted to be an actor, she wanted to study. Raashii also wanted to do a Masters for a job she wanted. It was their summer break that they decided to come. Raashii’s parents were quite excited because she was a topper, and they wanted her to go to Mumbai and do something apart from studies.

Elaborating further, Raashii added that as soon as they arrived, she also started auditioning for ads to get some pocket money. And then within a few months, while she landed ‘Madras Cafe‘, Vaani signed a deal with YRF.

Raashii also went on to add that movies were never really her thing. She had no Godfather and she always thought no one would support her. The actress also revealed that she had even refused to audition for ‘Madras Cafe’ but the team was persistent. When she got a call that she was finalised, she couldn’t believe her luck. Raashii added that she never thought it would be so easy.
