At a recent event, Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt opened up on working with stalwarts like Dharmendra, Shabana Azmi and Jaya Bachchan in RARKPK. Talking about Dharmendra, Ranveer narrated an incident from the sets. He said that on the day of his first shot with Dharmendra, he had instructed the crew to sound him off when Dharamji arrived on set, so he could meet him and exchange pleasantries.
However, due to a miscommunication, that could not happen and Dharam ji reached the set before Ranveer. Hearing this, Ranveer rushed to the set, touched his feet, hugged him and got ready for the shot. However, as soon as it was time for the take, Ranveer looked up and realised that he is standing in front of the one and only Dharmendra, a feeling he said can be best described as ‘out of body.’
On the other hand, Alia, while talking about all the veterans, said that Shabana Azmi is like water and takes the shape of her character in no time. Regarding Jaya Bachchan, Alia said that she is a lot of fun to be around and never takes a break between shots if the crew is strapped for time. Finally calling him a ‘kid’, Alia said that Dharam ji is such a joyful person and even pointed out that Ranveer can mimic him so well.
Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kaahani, directed by Karan Johar, will hit theatres next week.
