‘Jawan’ global box office collection: The Shah Rukh Khan starrer continues to hold strong after the Rs 1000 crore mark despite newer releases | Hindi Movie News – Times of India



Shah Rukh Khan‘s ‘Jawan‘ is roaring at the box-office and how! The film has not only pushed the boundaries at the domestic box office but also made a huge dent globally. ‘Jawan’ is now in its fifth week and the film is still holding strong despite newer releases like Akshay Kumar‘s ‘Mission Raniganj: The Great Bharat Rescue’ and ‘Thank You For Coming’.
In its fifth week, ‘Jawan’s’ total global box officecollection now stands at Rs 1117.36 crore gross.As far as the domestic box office is concerned, the film has garnered Rs 626.37 crore in India. This total includes Rs 566.33 crore from the Hindi release and Rs 60.04 crore from the dubbed versions. It has done better in the south than many Hindi movies and left everyone surprised. With these numbers from south, it will be difficult for any film to match up to the ‘Jawan’ effect in the south as per trade. ‘Jawan’ has now found its place in the top five highest grossing movies of all times.
There was a rise in the business this weekend due to the ‘buy one get one free’ scheme and hence, one good numbers on Saturday and Sunday. Meanwhile, the upcoming Navratri and holiday season should further boost its business as there’s no major big film releasing in the coming days till Tiger Shroff and Kriti Sanon starrer ‘Ganapath: Part 1’ on October 20.
Directed by Atlee, ‘Jawan’ also stars Nayanthara, Vijay Sethupathi and sees Deepika Padukone, Sanjay Dutt in cameos. The film had released in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu.
