When Sunny Deol left Dharmendra shocked with his statement | Hindi Movie News – Times of India

Sunny Deol returned to the limelight with Gadar 2. While he excels in action roles, there’s one skillset that he’s still not mastered and this is despite his dad Dharmendra’s wish. It was during Salman Khan’s show Dus Ka Dum where one comment of Sunny made Dharmendrago speechless. As the show was going on, the conversation veered toward Dharemendra’s dancing skills and he mentioned that when it came to his dance, he would get very nervous. But when it came to his son Sunny, he felt his son would do better than him but he also struggled to dance, to which Sunny replied ‘Like father like son’.
It’s worth noting that Sunny got married to Pooja Deol in 1984, and has two children, Karan and Rajveer Deol. Karan recently tied the knot with Drisha Acharya this year, while Rajveer recently made his debut in the film industry with the movie Dono, starring alongside Paloma Dhillon.
In an interview with Brut, Sunny Deol reflected that everyone at home has different pursuits. He mentioned that they coexist in the same household but are not always together. He noted that his kids were engrossed in their studies and self-improvement, when he was occupied with his film shoots in his younger days, his father was dedicated to his own activities, and Bobby was engaged in his projects.
He further explained that while they do spend time together, they also value their individual space. Sunny recollected that during the filming of Apne and Yamla Pagla Deewana, they often found themselves spending time together on set more than at home, creating a unique and harmonious dynamic.
Additionally, he humorously mentioned that Rajveer and Karan tend to avoid being in the same room as him, indicating a healthy respect or apprehension, just like he avoids being in the same room with his father Dharmendra.
Sunny Deol will next be seen in Lahore 1947, where he will be teaming up with his old friend and colleague Rajkumar Santoshi with whom he has given hits like Ghayal, Damini and Ghatak. The film is being produced by Aamir Khan.
