The makers of ‘The Story of Park’s Marriage Contract‘ have shared an interesting insight about Lee Se Young‘s character. This drama, based on a webtoon, is a unique romance story about the marriage agreement between Kang Tae Ha (played by Bae In Hyuk), a single man, and Park Yeon Woo (Lee Se Young), a woman who time-travels from the 19th century Joseon era to the modern day.
In the Joseon era, Park Yeon Woo is the strong-willed daughter of the Minister of the Interior. She’s known for not getting married, and people even call her an ‘old maid’ in the city of Hanyang. However, Park Yeon Woo is determined to chase her dreams. She secretly lives a double life as the ‘butterfly teacher,’ where she sells clothes and embroidered goods she crafts skillfully.
Newly revealed images from the MBC drama show Park Yeon Woo’s determined and daring personality. In one set of pictures, she looks surprised and is gesturing at something while holding a book. In another, she appears to be up to some mischief with a determined look in her eye.
The drama’s producers praised Lee Se Young for her portrayal of Park Yeon Woo and said, “Lee Se Young is flawlessly pulling off and breathing life into the character of Park Yeon Woo, who has a lot of curiosity and knows exactly what she wants despite living in the Joseon era, when it was hard for women to pursue their dreams.”
‘The Story of Park’s Marriage Contract’ will trace the journey of a Joseon girl who crash-lands in the 21st century. It is set to premiere on November 24.
