As Salman Khan begins countdown to ‘Tiger 3’ release, film’s advance bookings record climbs to all-time high on Diwali | Hindi Movie News – Times of India



A week before its theatrical debut, the makers opened advance bookings and by the looks of it, the movie is on course to record one of the biggest Diwali collections of all time. The Maneesh Sharma directorial is expected to perform well at the box office and has already amassed an estimated Rs 8.01 crores within just 2 days of opening up advance ticket sales.
The film drew in the maximum sales from the Hindi sector.It raked in an estimated Rs 7.44 crore from sales of tickets in the Hindi 2D format with additional revenue of Rs 40 lakh earned from IMAX screens, 8.2 lakh earned from 4DX screens and Rs 54K from the ICE format.

The Telegu dubbed version of the film collected an estimated Rs 6.67 lakh.

The makers on Tuesday began a 5-day countdown to the film’s release by dropping a new IMAX poster.

It was also revealed that ‘Tiger 3‘ will have the most number of action sequences in a YRF Spy Universe film. Ahead of the release, director Sharma revealed, “Salman and Katrina are Tiger and Zoya – India’s biggest action duo – but it’s not just for actions’ sake. This is their story. They’ve always been in conflict together, their relationship has grown as the stakes have grown. And now the stakes are even greater- so the action has to follow suit!”

He added that the action sequences in ‘Tiger 3’ are at par with big Hollywood action films of our times!
“This film has a relentless pace because of the clear and immediate peril our duo face, and it only heightens the action. We have 12 amazing action sequences each of which will keep you on the edge of your seat. And on IMAX they look absolutely world-class – I want our fans to be so proud of seeing their heroes in sequences that stand up to a global audience,” he added.
‘Tiger 3’ is all set to hit the theatres on November 12 in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu.
