Bollywood star Deepika Padukone has been making waves in the film industry. When it is not her many film projects, it is her marriage to Ranveer Singh that makes headlines. Over the past weeks, there has been heighted scrutiny over her relationship with Singh, following revelations made during her appearance on Karan Johar’s chat show Koffee with Karan.
In her latest interview, the actress, who is the Indian ambassador for a luxury international jewellery brand, highlighted the paramount importance of spending quality time with her husband.

She explained, “Spending time with my husband is very important to me. In our professions, where one of us can be traveling for a month or sometimes he might have a late night and I have an early morning…”
“It’s not the quantum but the quality of time we have together,” she added.
Besides being asked about her personal life, the actress was also quizzed about whether she attributes her success to her ‘no-nonsense beginnings’. Padukone replied, “Oh, 100 per cent. Nobody can question my work ethic and I’m fiercely protective of what I’ve built because it’s all my own.”
