Tragic loss in the K-pop community as One Two member Oh Chang Hoon passes away at 47 | K-pop Movie News – Times of India



The K-Pop community mourns the loss of Oh Chang Hoon, a member of the iconic duo group One Two, who recently succumbed to his battle with cancer at the age of 47. The devastating news was reported by Koreaboo on November 14, revealing that Oh Chang Hoon passed away at 6:30 a.m. on that day, marking the end of his courageous fight against stage 4 colon cancer and neuroendocrine cancer, for which he had recently undergone surgery.

Fellow group member Song Ho Bum, on the same day, shared his heartfelt condolences and memories of Oh Chang Hoon.

In an interview with Sports World,Song Ho Bum revealed, “Chang Hoon recently underwent the 8th round of cancer treatment and was getting better, so we had hope… Neuroendocrine tumours are a rapidly deteriorating disease. His health weakened over the past month, and he passed away while focusing on treatment”.
Expressing deep affection for his late friend and musical collaborator, Song Ho Bum stated, “I hope Chang Hoon is no longer in pain. Tell Taeyang (Oh Chang Hoon’s son) not to worry… I was happy to make music with my brother”.
Debuting under JYP Entertainment in 2003, One Two, comprised of Oh Chang Hoon and Song Ho Bum, gained popularity for their vibrant and energetic songs, including hits like ‘Now ass’ and ‘Bad Woman’. Post-One Two activities saw Oh Chang Hoon venture into DJing and contribute to K-Drama OSTs as a songwriter. In 2019, he tied the knot with his girlfriend of two years and leaves behind a son named Taeyang.

Oh Chang Hoon’s passing marks a somber moment for the K-Pop industry, as fans and fellow artists remember him for his musical contributions and the indelible mark he left on the hearts of those who admired his talent and spirit.
