The stars brought their families along to watch the epic World Cup finale in their private VIP box and fans could not get enough of their playful gestures towards each other. While fans have seen SRK and DP scorch up the screens in films like ‘Jawan’ and “Pathaan‘, they were pleasantly surprised to see the sweet friendship they shared off-screen.

Others could not seem to get enough of Gauri Khan and Ranveer Singh’s high-five, which netizens dubbed as ‘the cutest!’ After greeting SRK, Ranveer was seen walking up to Gauri and raising his hand up for a high-five. The move instantly brightened up Gauri’s mood as she pouted and clapped Singh’s hand before exchanging a few words with him as DP embraced her and planted a kiss on her cheek.
“The way Ranveer and Gauri high fived eo it was cute,” said a fan.
Another added, “I think this is the first time i have seen Gauri and Ranveer interact lol cute!”
The endearing moment, caught on camera, showcases the genuine bond between the stars, who started out as co-stars and are now one of B-town’s besties. The bunch were seen chatting up a storm, and turning cheer leaders for the boys in Blue. Ranveer and SRK, at one point, even teamed up to cheer for Team India and it was all captured on camera.
Reacting to the clip, fans commented, “Don 2 and Don 3.”
Ranveer is all set to step into SRK’s shoes to take on the role of the famed character – Don. The announcement gave way to speculation of a soured friendship between the two, but they have repeatedly proved with their sweet gestures, that the rumours were far from the truth.
As the match turned in Australia’s favour, social media users were reminded of SRK’s Chak De! India film and encouraged the actor to give his famed speech in the movie to raise the boys’ spirits. In the film’s climax, SRK gives a motivational speech to the Hocky team where he tells them to seize each and every minute of those 70 minutes of the game and the outcome of the speech is the team walking away with the win.
Despite the defeat, SRK took to his handle to cheer for the team saying, “The way the Indian team has played this whole tournament is a matter of honour and they showed great spirit and tenacity. It’s a sport and there are always a bad day or two. Unfortunately, it happened today….but thank u Team India for making us so proud of our sporting legacy in cricket…u bring too much cheer to the whole of India. Love and respect.
