Lee Se-young gets candid about Hanbok in ‘The Story of Park’s Marriage Contract’ – Times of India

Lee Se-young recently talked about her experience of wearing hanbok again during the press conference for the new MBC drama, ‘The Story of Park’s Marriage Contract,’ held on November 22nd. The event took place at MBC Headquarters in Sangam, Mapo-gu, Seoul.
When asked about her feelings regarding wearing hanbok again after her previous project, ‘The Red Sleeves,’ Lee Se-young candidly expressed, “I really didn’t want to wear hanbok.I dislike wearing hanbok in the summer; it doesn’t suit me. It’s comfortable to wear hanbok in winter. It was really tough shooting in Hanbok for the summer scenes.”
She went on to share her overall impression, saying, “So, my impression of wearing hanbok again is ‘I had no choice because it’s for work, but it surprisingly suits well.”
The upcoming drama, ‘The Story of Park’s Marriage Contract,’ tells a unique story that goes beyond the boundaries of life and death. It revolves around a contract marriage between Park Yeon-woo, a girl from the 19th century who finds herself in Korea in 2023, and Kang Tae-ha, a 21st-century emotionally reserved perfectionist. The first episode is set to air at 9:50 PM KST on November 24th.
Despite Lee Se-young’s initial reluctance to wear hanbok again, she embraced the necessity of it for her role in the new drama. The actress found that, despite the challenges of shooting in hanbok during the summer, it surprisingly suited the storyline well. Fans can look forward to seeing her in this unique historical drama when it premieres later this month.
