Exclusive! Salman Khan says he learnt to be secure from his father Salim Khan: ‘I didn’t see him going nuts or ballistic’ | Hindi Movie News – Times of India

While ‘Maine Pyar Kiya’ was Salman Khan‘s big breakthrough in the industry, he actually had made his debut with a film like ‘Biwi Ho Toh Aisi’ which starred Rekha and Farooq Sheikh. Since then, he’s been a part of many two-hero films. While his latest release, ‘Tiger 3‘ with Katrina Kaif, is a huge success, Salman has admitted that he wouldn’t mind doing a cameo in a spin-off film made on Katrina’s character Zoya.
When we recently caught up with Salman for an interview, we asked the actor how he has managed to be so secure as an actor over the years. He credited his upbringing for the same and said, “I’ve seen it at home. I don’t think anyone can take anything away from you that you deserve. I don’t think you can snatch something from someone that they deserve. You just have to give your best and you can shine but you don’t need to out-shadow someone or cut someone’s role in a movie or show someone down. When you do these things, the audience sees that. I don’t see a motive to do that.”
He further spoke about his father and revealed that success or failure didn’t really change him. “Before I even became an actor, I’ve seen failure, success, failure, success with my father’s career. When my father was successful as a writer, I didn’t see him going nuts or ballistic. When he went down as well, I saw the same father standing there. I didn’t see any change in my father’s personality. That’s what all of us, brothers and sisters got it from him. If a film like ‘Tiger 3’ is successful, we may not celebrate it. But perhaps if a film fails, we will not cry either. Because we’ve given our best.”

In this interview, Salman also revealed to us that the films produced by his company are narrated to his father till today. “We make sure that the ones we take to him, are the ones he’ll like and he’ll approve.”
Salman’s father Salim wrote the most iconic movies with Javed Akhtar. The team of Salim-Javed is considered the best ever and the most iconic screen-writers’ team of Hindi cinema. They given us a long list of cult movies – from ‘Zanjeer’ to ‘Don’ to ‘Sholay’ amidst many more.
