Suneel Darshan set to roll cameras for ‘Andaaz 2’ on November 28: Report | Hindi Movie News – Times of India



Suneel Darshan, renowned Bollywood filmmaker, is set to kick off the much-anticipated sequel to his 2003 hit film, “Andaaz.” Following the recent trend of successful sequels like “Gadar 2,” Darshan is ready to commence shooting for “Andaaz 2” two decades after the original’s release.

According to a report by Bollywood Hungama, Suneel Darshan shared that 20 years after the release of the 2003 hit Andaaz, he is about to commence the filming of Andaaz 2.

The shoot begins from tomorrow. The filmmaker revealed that the sequel will introduce three new talents in leading roles, and it will feature original music byNadeem of Nadeem-Shravan fame, with lyrics by Sameer and Nadeem.

Written, produced, and directed by Suneel Darshan under the Shree Krishna International banner, “Andaaz 2” is expected to bring fresh faces to the forefront, although Darshan is yet to disclose the names of the newcomers. The original film, directed by Raj Kanwar and produced by Suneel Darshan, was a love triangle that captivated audiences with its memorable songs and the sizzling chemistry between the actors.

In a previous interview with Bollywood Hungama in May 2022, Suneel Darshan reflected on the success of the 2003 film, stating that several cinemas wanted to shut down over the course of the (2003) strike. However, he had distributed the film himself, and had personally called the theatre owners and requested to keep the cinemas going. He assured them that they’ll benefit from Andaaz as he had that faith in the product. And thankfully, the film became a rage in the single screens.
