In a spectacular display of box office prowess, Ranbir Kapoor‘s highly anticipated movie Animal which still has two days until its release, has already raked in the bi bucks. The film which storms into theaters on Friday, is reportedly set to shatter records and also become Ranbir’s highest-grossing film to date.
Scheduled for a worldwide release on December 1st, the Sandeep Reddy Vanga directorial is gearing up for an explosive debut, fueled by a surge in pre-sales both in India and the overseas market.Reports on boxofficeworldwide suggest that the film is expected to earn an astounding $4.5 million on its opening day.

With an impressive start, the film is poised for a colossal $10.5 million weekend haul, marking a triumphant entry into the global market.

If the film does manage to cross the 10 million mark, it will propel itself on the list of top highest-earning films at the global box office. Currently, Shah Rukh Khan‘s Jawan holds the top spot with a collection of $21.54 million. Pathaan takes the second spot with an earning of $16.59 million. Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh’s Padmaavat occupies the third spot with a collection of $10.59 million and finally, Dhoom 3 which earned $10.32 million.

The North American market is proving to be a stronghold, contributing nearly half a million dollars to the weekend box office, including USD 300,000 from Thursday previews alone.
In India, Animal has set itself up to shatter records for pre-sales, surpassing the high bar set by Tiger 3. According to reports, the film that was awarded an ‘A’ certificate, has sold a staggering 1.75 lakh ticket in national chains before its release. With two days remaining, the final pre-sales total is expected to soar beyond 4.75 lakh.
Besides the Adult rating, the film is also said to be one of the longest RK starrers with a runtime of 3 hours and 21 minutes.

According to reports, the film’s advance bookings commenced last week and only gained momentum with the release of the explosive trailer.
The film has already earned over USD 600,000 on its first day, outselling other films like Tiger 3 and Brahmastra. Interestingly, at this rate, Animal may just be on a trajectory that aligns closely with the success of Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan.
