In a matter of weeks, ‘The Crown‘ will wrap up after its final six episodes of Season 6, Part 2 set to premiere on December 14.
The series that picks up after the death of Princess Diana in Season 6 Part 1, will now offer a glimpse into a new millennium, packed with royal romances.According to reports, the show will pick up a few months after the princess’ death, and follow Prince William and Prince Harry, as they pursue their studies at the University of St. Andrews.

As teased in the trailer, the new first-look photos turn the spotlight on Prince William’s budding romance with Kate Middleton played by Meg Bellamy. While one still sees them leaning in for a kiss, it is really the scene involving the transparent dress that royal enthusiasts will be waiting to watch. In a statement to Netflix’s Tudum, Bellamy, expressed her excitement playing Kate and said, “to be part of it is pretty crazy, and it’s nice to finally be celebrating it.”

Imelda Staunton returns as Queen Elizabeth II, Jonathan Pryce as Prince Philip, and Lesley Manville as Princess Margaret. Reflecting on her role as the Queen, Imelda said in a statement to the portal, “I felt like everyone, her whole life, was sitting on her shoulders, and I think that’s what people feel when they met her — that you’re looking at history. The monarch is a thing. Royalty is a thing, and to remain as dignified as she was was an extraordinary feat.”

Some of the new faces on the cast include Luther Ford as teenage Prince Harry.
Last year, the makers of ‘The Crown’ announced that Season 6 was the final season and that the show will not cover any of the present scandals that rocked the house of Windsor. The Queen’s death in 2022 also sealed the deal on concluding the series.
