The film is all set to lock horns with Shah Rukh Khan starrer ‘Dunki’ at the box office. The clash is being termed as one of the biggest box office clashes of the year. Spilling some beans on the same, Salaar director Prashanth Neel told ETimes that clashes are not an ideal situation, whether it involves a newcomer or the biggest star in Indian cinema. He mentioned that it is unpleasant for any party to shift their release date to accommodate another, and his team did not wish for others to do the same when they had already announced their date a year in advance. Neel clarified that the decision to move the release date was solely a logistical one made by the production team. He emphasised that he and his team typically do not involve themselves in the production’s decisions regarding release dates, as they refrain from interfering in the filmmaking process.
