Katrina Kaif and Vicky Kaushal were dating secretly for about three years before they decided to tie the knot. The couple will be celebrating their second anniversary on December 9 and their wedding was a grand affair in Rajasthan, just with family and close friends. But did you know how Vicky broke the ice with Katrina’s family?
The actor appeared on ‘Koffee With Karan 8’ with Kiara Advani, and when asked about how he broke the ice with Katrina’s family who is so different from his, here’s what he said.Vicky revealed, “I couldn’t meet them for two years because of COVID. So, I met them for the first time, literally a week before marriage. We had a party at my place and we were all drinking and dancing.”
He further added, “Instantly, we saw something in each other and just connected. Two hours into meeting each other and we were dancing on the floor to Tip Tip Barsa Paani in the first meeting. The ice was broken, melted and gone.”
The actor also revealed on the show that he proposed to Katrina just a day before their wedding festivities began. He said that he was warned by everyone that he has to propose as a ritual, even if they’re getting married, or else the girls taunt them always for life! So, Vicky said that right before all the guests came in and the festivities began, a day prior to that, Katrina and him got some time to have a quiet dinner at their wedding destination. So, it was a romantic set-up where he went down on his knees and proposed.
Meanwhile, Kiara revealed that Sidharth proposed to her in Rome, amidst a family vacation. While her parents, couldn’t be there, Sidharth’s entire family was there.
