The singer was spotted arriving with her parents for the Kansas City Chiefs‘ game and heading straight to the VIP box, where she joined a host of other players’ wives and families.
The cameras panned to Taylor several times during the game, with commentators even mistakenly calling her Kelce’s ‘wife’. From cheering for the boys to expressing her frustration over the defeat, the singer was captured on camera at her candid best.
Dressed in Christmas colours, Taylor was seen in a red top and a checked skirt. She even wore a Santa hat with Kelce’s jersey number on it. After the disappointing loss, the couple was seen leaving the game hand-in-hand.
Shortly after the game, ‘Taylor Swift curse if real’ began trending, with trolling taking jibes at the singer and blaming her for Kelce and The Chiefs’ underperformance at the game.

According to reports, fans of the NFL star began spreading the theory of the ‘Taylor Swift curse’ after the team began underperforming at the games. While at the beginning at the romance the singer was considered as Travis’ ‘lucky charm’, fans later grew weary of her presence at the matches while linking the team’s poor performance on the field to the singer. Taylor was even blamed for Kelce’s injury on the field.
However, Swifties were not letting trolls have the last word. Many took to the comments section to defend the singer saying, “Grown men on Twitter having a full on meltdown over the “Taylor Swift curse” because she is *checks notes* watching a football game.”
