Agastya Nanda, who made his big Bollywood debut with Zoya Akhtar‘s ‘The Archies’, recenlty opened up about the film getting mixed responses. The film also marked debut of Suhana Khan and Khushi Kapoor.
In an interview with Film Companion, Agastya expressed that he wasn’t prepared for it, acknowledging his lack of knowledge in dealing with such situations. In this unfamiliar territory, he realized that people hold various opinions, which he accepted.The diverse range of reactions, from dislike to appreciation, left him perplexed. The realization dawned on him that not everyone viewed the film in the same way. Despite the differing opinions, he emphasized that the film was created with genuine love and dedication, and everyone involved gave their best effort.

Agastya mentioned that The Archies faced challenges on certain fronts. He conveyed his commitment to putting in hard work, stating it was his first attempt, and he intends to dedicate substantial effort. Reflecting on the journey, he shared that arriving at this understanding took time. Agastya openly acknowledged that expecting validation and not achieving it can be a source of pain, yet it serves as a motivating factor.

He further mentioned that he had the opportunity to present himself on a significant platform, collaborate with one of the finest directors, build strong connections with six wonderful friends, and gain valuable exposure. Nanda concluded by stating, “I exerted my utmost effort, and I will continue to do so.”
