Directed by Sailesh Kolanu, the action thriller movie stars Venkatesh Daggubati, Shraddha Srinath, Baby Sara, Ruhani Sharma, Nawazzudin Siddique, Arya, and Andrea Jeremiah in important roles. The music for the movie is composed by Santhosh Narayanan. The film runs for 138 minutes, and it has been certified U/A.
Venkatesh Daggubati plays the role of Sai Ko in the film, who is a person with a dark past. While leading a quiet life with his family, his life suddenly takes a drastic turn after his daughter is diagnosed with spinal muscular atrophy, which would cost Rs 17 crore to cure. He once again steps into the world of crime to extract money to save his daughter and ends up in an intense battle against the ruthless gangster Vikas Malik, played by Nawazzudin Siddique.
The film marks the Tollywood debut of Nawazzudin Siddique, and the actor revealed in a recent press interaction that he loves his role as Vikas Malik in the movie and added that it has given him a new dimension of thought. The actor said that he has played a role in the film that he has not played earlier in any other movie.
Saindhav was initially announced in January 2023, and the movie went on floors soon. During Ugadi, the makers initially confirmed that the film would be released on December 22, but as it clashed at the box office with Prabhas’s Salaar, the movie was postponed to Sankranti’s release. The film is releasing in theatres tomorrow, January 13. It will be the only film that is releasing in theatres tomorrow, but it will still clash at the box office with the movies that have been released today, Hanu Man and Guntur Kaaram.
Saindhav is a very important film for Venkatesh Daggubati, as it marks his 75th film. The movie will be released in Tamil, Telugu, and Hindi, and it will make its digital premiere on Amazon Prime next month.
