Abbas-Mustan‘s 2002 film ‘Humraaz,’ starring Bobby Deol, Akshaye Khanna, and Amisha Patel has attained a cult-classic status over the years. This romantic thriller, known for its blend of love, betrayal, suspense, crime, and conspiracy, garnered praise from both critics and audiences.
Now, after 22 years, reports are rife that the filmmakers might be considering a sequel to the film. According to a report in Pinkvilla, Abbas-Mustan, in collaboration with Ratan Jain, have successfully developed the script for the film. The report also added that over the past two years, the duo explored numerous ideas for ‘Humraaz 2‘ without finding a suitable successor to the original. However, about a month ago, they managed to finalize a concept that not only exceeds the first installment but also promises to be more spectacular.

Additionally, the report mentioned that with the foundational aspects finalized on paper, the team will soon begin approaching actors to join the project. While it’s still undecided whether it will be a direct sequel or part of a franchise, there’s been activity at Ratan Jain’s office regarding the possibility of bringing back Bobby Deol and Akshaye Khanna for the film. Further details regarding the casting are expected to be clarified soon.
