Veteran actor Mithun Chakraborty was hospitalised in Kolkata after experiencing chest pain on Saturday morning. According to a report by News18, the hospital where Mithun Chakraborty is receiving treatment has provided the latest update on his health. He has been diagnosed with an Ischemic Cerebrovascular Accident (Stroke) affecting the brain.
According to a report in the news portal, Mithun Chakraborty is currently fully conscious.The hospital statement mentioned that the actor, aged 73, was admitted to a hospital in Kolkata after experiencing weakness in his right upper and lower limbs. Following thorough medical evaluations, including an MRI of the brain, he was diagnosed with an Ischemic Cerebrovascular Accident (Stroke). The statement added that he is presently in a well-oriented state, fully conscious, and has been advised a soft diet.

The statement further added that the actor is in the care of several doctors in the hospital. “Shri Chakraborty is being further evaluated by a team of doctors including a neuro-physician, cardiologist and a gastroenterologist.” read the update.

Mahaakshay Chakraborty confirmed to ETimes that the veteran actor was doing absolutely fine and that it was just a routine check up.

The hospital spokesperson previously mentioned that Mithun Chakraborty underwent an MRI and other medical tests after being admitted in the morning. Further details would be provided later, as stated by the hospital representative.
