‘Jawan’ director Atlee shares video from ASTRA Awards; pens note of thank you note for Shah Rukh Khan, Gauri Khan | – Times of India



Director Atlee suited up in style and made his presence felt at the ASTRA Awards, where his film ‘Jawan‘ was nominated in the Best International Feature category. Taking to his social media handle, the director posted a throwback video, giving fans a glimpse of his time at the award show.
Sharing the video on his handle, he penned a note of thanks to his leading man Shah Rukh Khan, producer Gauri Khan and his team.His post read, “Thank you Astra awards @hollywoodcreativealliance #jawan Thank you @iamsrk sir @gaurikhan Mam @redchilliesent, my team”

Dressed in a white tux, the director hit the red carpet, where he shared the biggest learning from his time in the film industry. In a video, he was quoted saying, “Being humble. You have to respect everyone and you have to be humble in life, just not by pretending.”

Atlee’s video also featured a glimpse from his table at the awards show and the host announcing the nominees for the Best International Feature award included Concrete Utopia (South Korea), Fallen Leaves (Finland), Perfect Days (Japan), Radical (Mexico), Society of the Snow (Spain), The Taste of Things (France), The Teacher’s Lounge (Germany), and The Zone of Interest (United Kingdom).

Sadly for fans, the film did not win the award. It lost out to the Oscar favourite French legal drama, ‘Anatomy of a Fall’.
The awards were announced on January 13.
In December 2023, The Hollywood Creative Alliance announced the nominees that saw ‘Jawan’ in the list of films like ‘Barbie’, ‘Oppenheimer’, ‘Killer of the Flower Moon’, ‘John Wick’, ‘Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse’, and several other box office hits.
