Vidya Balan immediately agreed to be part of ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3’: Anees Bazmee | – Times of India



After the super success of two instalments of ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa‘, the makers of the film are all set with the third part. While it will be headlined by Kartik Aaryan, the makers have also roped in OG Manjulika aka Vidya Balan.
ETimes reached out to director Anees Bazmee, who is currently nursing an injury. He said, “We are all excited to start work on the film very soon. I have hurt myself so I am currently resting at home.” Spilling some beans about why he got Vidya back in the film with Kartik Aaryan, the director added, “The way we ended Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2′, we thought let us do something new and the first name that came to my mind was Vidya Balan. Isn’t the combination good?”

Vidya Balan and Anees Bazmee have been friends for a long time. So how did the actress react to him approaching her for Manjulika’s role? “She immediately agreed. Besides, she is a friend and quite enthusiastic. Enthu hokar kaam karenge,” Bazmee shared.

Bazmee has already done the recce for locations of the film. Sharing details about the same, he said, “I have travelled all over India, hunting for locations. As soon as I recover from the injury, I will start the prep work for the film.”

Apart from Vidya and Kartik, reports are rife that Madhuri Dixit will also be joining the cast of ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3’. According to a source cited by Mid-Day, the creative team decided to introduce another spirit into the narrative to enhance the storyline. Consequently, Rooh Baba will face off against the two ghosts portrayed by Madhuri Dixit and Vidya Balan. This marks the first on-screen collaboration between the two leading ladies, making it a significant move by the filmmakers. The report further stated that production for Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 is scheduled to commence next month. Additionally, it mentioned that Sara Ali Khan is under consideration for the female lead role in the film.
In response to the claims, the source in the report stated, “The discussions are still in the early stages. Nothing has been confirmed yet.”
