Priyamani, who shared the screen with Shah Rukh Khan in the Atlee directorial Jawan, recently shed light on her decision to steer clear of dance numbers in the film industry, despite receiving acclaim for her performance in the hit song One Two Three Four Get On The Dance Floor from the blockbuster Rohit Shetty directorial Chennai Express.
She told India Today that post Chennai Express, she kept getting a lot of offers from people where they wanted her to do dance numbers. But she refused to them because she does not want to be known just for special numbers. “I purely did that only for Shah Rukh Khan because I love him and I wanted to star opposite him,” Priyamani explained.

Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Jawan’ co-actress Priyamani recalls how his bodyguard mistook her and the girl gang for fans; says ‘he warmly pulled us all together…’

Talking about her experience of working alongside the King Khan of Bollywood in Chennai Express and Jawan, Priyamani couldn’t stop showering praises upon the superstar. “Shah Rukh Khan is all heart for me. He might have his fair share of haters, but the people who love him are way more. He is one of the most humble and gentle souls I have met, who is extremely nice and respectful not just towards women but everyone. The fact that he’s so courteous with everyone, is the one thing I have learnt from him,” said.

In Jawan, Priyamani portrayed the role of Lakshmi, a member of Shah Rukh’s all-girl squad. Her versatile performance undoubtedly depth to the film.
