Suhani Bhatnagar’s Dangal co-star Zaira Wasim is ‘shocked’ by her demise; says, ‘I hope this is a rumour’ | – Times of India


Dangal actress Suhani Bhatnagar’s demise shocked many, including her Dangal co-actor Zaira Wasim. Both Zaira and Suhani played younger versions of wrestlers Geeta Phogat and Babita Phogat and shared the maximum screen space together. Zaira while talking to Bombay Times, said, “I just read about it and I still cannot get my head around it. I wish this is a rumour I hope this was false.The moment I heard the news I had a flashback of all the great time we spent. She was such a good soul, and we had such great memories. I cannot imagine what her parents must be going through. I pray they find the strength.”

As per reports, Suhani was admitted in AIIMS Delhi and was undergoing treatment for her fractured leg. She was 19 when she passed away on Saturday. Actor Aamir Khan’s production house mourned the loss of Suhani. The production house’s social media handle posted a note on X (formerly known as Twitter). The post read, “We are deeply saddened to hear about our Suhani passing away. Our heartfelt condolences to her mother Poojaji, and the entire family. Such a talented young girl, such a team player, Dangal would have been incomplete without Suhani. Suhani, you will always remain a star in our hearts. May you rest in peace.”
The cause of Suhani’s death is still unclear, however, certain reports suggest that fluid accumulated throughout her body after she reacted to medicines following an accident.
After Dangal, Suhani appeared in a couple of ads. The family is yet to respond to the news.
