Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan paid a visit to the grieving family of the lateDangal‘ actor Suhani Bhatnagar in Faridabad on Thursday evening. Suhani, who portrayed the young Babita Phogat in ‘Dangal,’ passed away at the tender age of 19 due to dermatomyositis, a rare inflammatory condition causing skin rash and muscle weakness.
Expressing his condolences, Aamir Khan spent time with Suhani’s parents, offering words of comfort and inquiring about the details of her illness.Suhani’s uncle, Navneet Bhatnagar, confirmed Aamir Khan’s heartfelt visit, highlighting the actor’s empathy during the family’s difficult time, as per NDTV reports.
According to reports, Suhani’s father, Sumit Bhatnagar, revealed that her lungs were affected by infection and excess fluid accumulation, leading to her untimely demise. Aamir Khan’s presence and gesture of support brought solace to the grieving family, providing them strength and reassurance.
The news of Suhani Bhatnagar’s passing deeply saddened the film fraternity, and Aamir Khan’s production house released a statement expressing profound grief. The statement read, “We are deeply saddened to hear about our Suhani passing away. Our heartfelt condolences to her mother, Poojaji, and the entire family. Such a talented young girl, such a team player, Dangal would have been incomplete without Suhani.” It continued, “Suhani, you will always remain a star in our hearts. May you rest in peace.”
