Janhvi Kapoor Regrets Not Speaking Telugu for Her South Debut Film Devara with Jr NTR | – Times of India



Janhvi Kapoor is gearing up for her debut in the South film industry opposite Jr NTR in the movie Devara directed by Koratala Siva. The release of the first part, originally set for April, has been postponed to October 10. Janhvi Kapoor recently shared her biggest regret, which is related to Devara.
In an interview with The Week, Janhvi Kapoor expressed regret over her inability to speak Telugu while shooting for Devara with Jr NTR. She admitted to never having learned the language and feeling ashamed of it. Kapoor mentioned that she can understand Telugu phonetically, but struggles with speaking it. She praised the Devara team for their patience and support in helping her with her lines, especially given the opportunity to work with such experienced actors.
Janhvi Kapoor is in the best phase of her career, just yesterday, Karan Johar announced that she is going to be part of his next production with Shashank Khaitan and Varun Dhawan, it has been titled Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari. She also has a film with south sensations Ram Charan and Suriya in the pipeline, and also has one with Tiger Shroff. Her next release is going to be Mr and Mrs Mahi, again backed by Karan Johar with Rajkummar Rao, directed by Sharan Sharma who directed her in Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl.
