Kiara Advani: Breaking Stereotypes on Career for Female Actors Post Marriage | – Times of India

Kiara Advani, who has graced the screens for a decade, recently opened up about challenging stereotypes surrounding marriage and female actors’ careers in Bollywood. She reflected on her own experience, particularly in light of her marriage to Sidharth Malhotra a year ago.
She shed light on the negativity and skepticism faced by the directors, producers or female actors when news of her impending marriage surfaced.”Why is she getting married? She’s just reaching that phase and all of that. But kudos to the audience because I think they have evolved,” Kiara said at ABP Conclave while lauded the evolving mindset of the audience who perceive actors beyond their marital status.
Kiara then highlighted her own post-marriage graph in Bollywood, stating that she had signed two of her biggest films, Telugu movie Game Changer with Ram Charan and Farhan Akhtar’s Don 3 alongside Ranveer Singh, after tying the knot. Reflecting on her relationship with Sidharth Malhotra, Kiara expressed a sense of comfort, the warmth and love she experienced in her family.

“He felt like home to me. I do come from a home where, again, there’s a lot of love. There’s a lot of nurturing. There’s a lot of pampering that happens. It’s such a fulfilling home that I come from that to feel the same thing with someone else,” Kiara shared while giving a glimpse into the emotional bond they share.

Kiara and Sidharth’s romance finally culminated in marriage on February 7, 2023, in an intimate ceremony at Jaisalmer’s Suryagarh Palace. They met on the sets of Shershaah, where they first began dating.
Addressing her approach to balancing personal and professional commitments, Kiara expressed, “I believe I am good at balancing my personal and professional lives. So if I want to do something, I will go for it,” Kiara asserted.
