Women’s Day 2024: Randeep Hooda’s sister Anjali: Let’s admit it, nobody can function without us – Exclusive | – Times of India

In an exclusive conversation, Anjali Hooda, sister of Bollywood star Randeep Hooda, candidly shared her thoughts on International Women’s Day, emphasizing the perpetual significance of women in every aspect of life.
With a touch of humor, she remarked, “Women’s Day is every day because, let’s admit, ‘humare bina kisi ka kaam ni chal skta’ (nobody can function without us)—let’s be very honest. If I leave my house for two days, my whole house will go into havoc. So, for me, be it 8, 9, or 10 March, there’s no difference.”
Reflecting on her birth date coinciding with Children’s Day, she chuckled, “The day I got born was Women’s Day; I was born on Children’s Day.”

Anjali, who is gearing up to make her Bollywood debut with ‘Swatantra Veer Savarkar,’ has gracefully navigated through numerous stereotypes in her life. She shed light on the persistent challenge she faces: the right to be a decision-maker.
Recounting her upbringing, she shared, “I have fought many stereotypes in my life, but the one that I have to challenge even today is my right to be a decision-maker. I was brought up like a boy, and when they want to treat me like a girl, they do, and I don’t like it.”

Being the eldest child in her family, Anjali highlighted her father’s unique approach to raising her. “I am the eldest child in the family, and my father raised me like a man. When it comes to decision-making, I want to be the decision-maker. I fight for it even now,” she concludes.
