Ed Sheeran reveals Diljit Dosanjh tops his playlist, praises Armaan Malik, expresses desire to collaborate with King | Hindi Movie News – Times of India



British singer Ed Sheeran has been the talk of the town lately in India during his current visit. From his interactions with Bollywood celebrities, from Shah Rukh Khan to Ayushmann Khurrana, to his heartfelt gestures towards underprivileged children, the Shape of You hitmaker has been engaging in various activities in the country.
During an interview with Brut, Sheeran reminisced about his first trip to India and how it shaped his perception of the country’s vibrant music scene.This marks his third visit to India, having previously been here in 2015 and 2017.
Sheeran shared, “The first time I came over here (India), I went to a small party with a bunch of people. Those were big stars in Bollywood. And I think that kind of opened the door. There’s a lot of Indian music that’s fantastic. I’d say that’s kind of what I’ve been listening to the most for the last like a year and a bit.”
Expressing his admiration for Indian musicians, Sheeran specifically mentioned Diljit Dosanjh as someone he’s been listening to extensively. He also praised Armaan Malik, with whom he has collaborated in the past, and commended King for his innovative musical creations.

“I have listened to a lot of Diljit Dosanjh. I think he is great. I love Armaan, obviously having worked with him. And I think King has made some really exciting stuff,” he said.
His appreciation for Indian talent didn’t stop there. He expressed his keen interest in collaborating with King, hinting at a potential fusion of Western and Indian music styles in the future.

Sheeran has been meeting several B-Town celebrities ever since he landed in Mumbai. On Thursday, comedian

Kapil Sharma hosted a grand party for Sheeran. The party was attended by Rakul Preet Singh, Jackky Bhagnani, Archana Pooran Singh among several others.
He is all set to perform in Mumbai for the final leg of his +-=/x Tour (Mathematics) on March 16 as part of his Asia and Europe Tour in 2024. Singer Prateek Kuhad will perform for the crowd before the main act.
